Eve and Mary: Paradise and Obscurity
Eve stood in paradise—Surrounded by beauty, yet convinced to doubt who she was.
She seized a lie—And opened the way to death.
Mary stood in obscurity—Hidden and lowly, yet secure in her identity.
She received the mantle—To give birth to the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Eve heard a lie:
“You will be like God”—Forgetting she already bore His image.
Mary heard a promise:
“You are highly favored”—And believed she was who God said she was.
Eve responded with grasping.
Mary responded with wonder and surrender:
“How will this be?”
“Let it be to me according to your word.”
From paradise came exile.
From obscurity came Emmanuel.
